We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T for our client, an innovative UK-based manufacturing business specializing in sustainable battery production for electric vehicles. The successful candidate will lead process development, equipment optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T will: Lead the adoption, development, and optimisation of cell assembly and FA&T processes. Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with quality standards. Specify, evaluate, and qualify new cell assembly and FA&T equipment. Work closely with equipment vendors to ensure machinery meets production and quality requirements. Provide technical expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) to support the new product introduction (NPI). Use statistical process control (SPC) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to monitor process stability. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping, to improve efficiency. The Senior Engineer - Cell Assembly & FA&T will have: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methodologies. Minimum 5 years of experience (3 years with Masters degree) in engineering manufacturing, automotive or associated sectors. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Clear, concise communication skills with attitude towards building team spirit.
