Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of NCP finance.
He or she will be expected to work across the organisation, keeping accurate financial information on all NCP services and project delivery.
The postholder will be the main contact for financial queries, invoicing, production of project finance reports for funders and Senior staff.
Ensuring that Grants and income are accrued to reflect the charities funding streams.
Maintaining an online finance system working closely with the HR and accountant of the charity.
Main duties and responsibilities
As Finance Officer you will help support the NCP Senior Team by:
• Administering financial tasks and help the l Managers in the areas of financial planning and reporting
• Preparing payments in multiple currencies of invoices, grants, salaries, and expenses
• Generating invoices, confirming receipts and donations, pursuing unresolved receivables and composing essential correspondence
• Coordination of the tracking of restricted funds
• Addressing payment queries and issue remittance advices
• Checking and organising of expense claims
• Preparation of finance reports on project spends for funding returns
Person Specification
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
• The candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience of working within a charity or voluntary sector finance role.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office packages including word, excel, publisher and power point.
• Proficient Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Experience of working with accountants/auditors to produce the statutory accounts and planning of the year-end audit in accordance with Charity requirements.
• Experience of Reconciliation of bank statements and petty cash balances
• AAT level 3 qualification or equivalent minimum
• Have experience Work with our accountants/auditors to produce the statutory accounts and planning of the year-end audit in accordance with Charity requirements.
• Money handling experience including petty cash and sundry items.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.

The company operates a pension scheme which if you satisfy the criteria, you will be eligible to join subject to the rules of the scheme.
Holidays
In this role you will be entitled to 33 days of annual leave per annum (April to March), this includes bank holidays. This will be pro-rated for the first year of your employment.
