Business Manager - Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist
W Talent are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturer in West Leeds in their search for a part-time Purchasing Assistant. This opportunity allows you to work closely with an experienced team, supporting operational buying and administrative tasks for high-volume materials and packaging while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
Our client prides themself on being innovative and forward-thinking, with a modern and dynamic culture. The company is undergoing a rapid growth spurt, making this role a crucial support function to the Purchasing and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
* Manage and update purchasing records, data, and pricing
* Source and assess potential new suppliers
* Report and escalate supplier quality issues
* Provide pricing for new requirements to sales
* Resolve supplier inquiries, discrepancies, and account issues
* Liaise with internal teams to overcome supply chain challenges
* Ensure compliance with relevant manufacturing regulations
* Prepare management reports as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Prior experience in purchasing is highly desirable
* Experience managing supplier performance and ensuring the best price, service, and quality is highly desirable
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial, but not essential
* Comfortable with MRP systems and data analysis
25 hours per week | Monday – Friday | 9:30am - 2:30pm
Salary: Up to £30,000 (Full Time Equivalent)
