Description Commercial Contract Manager Location: Hinckley Point C Job type: Full time, Permanent Ref: 920 This role is suited to someone who has experience in the commercial contracts world but who may be looking to take the next step into a senior role. You will need to have experience of working within highly regulated environments but NEC accreditations re not a mandatory requirement but would be an advantage. Manage all contract aspects of the HPC project. Working in close relation with the Project Team this role will be key to supporting the cradle to grave delivery of the HPC project from design, production & agreement of BoQ's, subcontract procurement, site measures, weekly & monthly P&L's, budget analysis, raising & agreement of EWN's/compensation events & general commercial administration of the contract. What you’ll do: Agreement of applications for payment & Final Accounts with both client & subcontractor. Supporting Project Director with contract administration and management. Determine where Change Exists and demonstrate entitlement to NNB Interface to NNB commercial team to resolve exists points of issue between the parties to avoid them becoming disputes. Act as point of contract with customer on commercial or contract escalations Lead and manage the change process in the NEC Option C Contract including early warning and compensations events and tracking against Target Cost. Work alongside Supply Chain to support engagement with subcontractors and ultimate agreement of profitable and contractually watertight orders. To effectively administer the commercial aspects of the contract in accordance with the parameters & exacting timeframes as set out in the contract particulars. Upskill Project Team in the management and application of NEC Option C Contracts. Who you are: Key requirements: Detailed knowledge of NEC3 / Target cost contract Knowledge of working in a highly regulated and safety critical environment, such as nuclear Knowledge of working in the construction sector, including safety and environmental requirements and how these are applied, monitored and improved. Excellent Client facing skills, comfortable engaging at senior levels within their organisation Experience of working in the nuclear sector would be an advantage Ideally qualified to HNC/HND or equivalent level in appropriate discipline. Must also be able to demonstrate depth of knowledge & experience in managing contracts within a safety critical context Proficient in Microsoft Office software in particular Excel.
