Migration Coordinator Salary - £33,945 - £38,223 (Grade 6) Hours - 37 Contract type - full time, FTC 12 Months The West Midlands Strategic Migration Partnership (WMSMP) is one of 12 Strategic Migration Partnerships across the UK, established to manage regional dispersal and broader migration initiatives. Hosted by the City of Wolverhampton Council, our mission is to ensure that migration benefits all in the West Midlands. Our work spans various critical areas, including the resettlement of individuals from Ukraine and Afghanistan. The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to join our dedicated team. This role will involve coordinating and managing stakeholder relationships, leading on the development and implementation of new projects, and ensuring effective communication across our network of partners. You will play a vital role in the smooth running of the WMSMP, fostering collaboration between local authorities, government bodies, and community organisations. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on migration management in the West Midlands. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of migrants and asylum seekers, ensuring their integration and resettlement are handled with care and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Manage and present data, ensuring that all stakeholder communications are clear, accurate, and effective. Lead and coordinate new projects, working closely with Partnership Management to establish governance and reporting structures. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and funders to achieve project objectives and ensure alignment with the wider migration strategy. Develop reports, manuals, procedures, and policy documents to support the partnership's strategic goals at regional and local levels. Enhance communication and information-sharing systems across all partners to improve the delivery of migration-related services. Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support ongoing and new partnership initiatives. Manage elements of the Partnership budget, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices. Provide effective secretariat support, event management, and communication planning for projects and regional seminars. Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style.
