Are you an experienced personal assistant who would love to use your skills to help us Beat Macular Disease?
We are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant to support a dual sensory impaired employee within Macular Society. This role involves administrative tasks, and a knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential, while knowledge of databases is desirable.
The role requires close collaboration with a research intern, so good communication and listening skills are essential. You will assist with sighted tasks that the employee is unable to complete using assisted technology. Understanding dual sensory impairment is crucial as the employee is also severely deaf. Please note, this is a professional role offering support around all aspects of his role and not personal tasks.
If you have strong administrative and communication skills, a willingness to learn, and are comfortable around dogs (the employee is a guide dog owner), we would love to hear from you.
The job holder will require access to a car; a clean driving license is required.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups to ensure our work is inclusive for everyone.
In return, we provide a great working culture – we do something worthwhile and are proud to work together to Beat Macular Disease, as recognized by our inclusion in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2023 list.
Interviews: Week commencing 20 January 2025
