If you answered yes to all these things, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is looking for a veterinary surgeon with a passion for delivering the very best care to animals undergoing diagnostic and surgical procedures.
You will work under the guidance of experienced ECVAA Diplomates in Veterinary Anaesthesia & Analgesia and provide anaesthesia support to a large group of talented Veterinary Specialists, Residents, Interns, and Veterinary Nurses. We offer Specialist-led services in Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, and Pain and Rehabilitation.

What we offer:
1. Support from highly skilled Specialists who will help you to achieve a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Anaesthesia.

5. Procedures including advanced vascular access, ultrasound-guided locoregional anaesthesia and one lung ventilation.
6. Wide and varied caseload of secondary and tertiary referrals including interventional airway procedures (e.g. tracheal and bronchial stenting), interventional cardiology (e.g. PDA closure, balloon valvuloplasty, and pacemaker implantation), oncological surgery and other complex soft tissue procedures, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography.
7. Opportunities to rotate in other disciplines, working alongside Specialists in other areas of the practice.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from veterinary surgeons with a strong interest in developing advanced skills in small animal anaesthesia, and be an existing MRCVS or eligible to work in private practice in the UK. Those holding, or working towards, a CertAVP are especially encouraged to apply.
