Oxford Cancer, Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Administrator to join Oxford Cancer Centre’s support team. The Training Administrator will have general responsibility for providing administrative support for Oxford Cancer’s training programmes and student administration. The Centre's Training Strategy is to educate and train the next generation of translational cancer researchers to maximise the impact of Oxford research in the global fight against cancer. The role requires a proactive and organised administrator to support a range of training activities, including the DPhil in Cancer Science, postdoctoral clinical training, and internship programmes. The postholder will assist with event coordination, governance meetings, communications, and maintaining training records, while handling confidential information with tact and professionalism. The postholder will be managed by the Senior Programmes Manager for Training and will work closely with the Training Programme Project Coordinator and the Operations Manager. This post is based at Oxford Cancer, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE and is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis for two years. The position offers the opportunity for hybrid working, with essential office days required. An early start date would be preferable for this role. About you You will have demonstrable experience of administrative processes associated with the establishment, management and coordination of training in an academic environment. You will have proven experience of working in a medical or life sciences research and training organisation. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Attention to detail and experience in event organisation are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Oxford University’s student administration process and an understanding of Oxford Cancer and Cancer Research UK would be an advantage.
