OUTSIDE IR35 - MARCH 25TH START - 6-12 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT
The primary purpose of the Process Lead (PL) is to deliver the detail relevant for our programme which underpins the high-level ambition from the GPOs by defining a set of Global Template processes.
The PL holds the responsibility and authority for specifying the Global Template (ie not local specific) of specific group wide functions (eg, asset operations, maintenance). They therefore represent a key process area within the Programme delivering business improvements, efficiencies and benefits, with responsibilities including:
* Responsible for ensuring the business requirements are clearly defined and subsequently met by the technical solutions proposed by the programme.
* Responsible for designing the detailed global process steps within the template
* Reviewing and approving the proposed global system solutions which support these business requirements and processes.
* Reviewing and approving the identified global change impacts and approving the propose mitigations, communications and training which address these
* Lastly, they are responsible for driving for minimal local variations from the Global template for their area from a business requirements and process standpoint
The PL's remit is exclusive to this Programme and their given Process stream.
Internal and External Relations:
* Programme Internal: GPOs, Programme Director, Programme Manager, Local Process Experts, Functional Leads (SI), Functional Leads (IT), Architecture & Deilvery Lead, IT Enterprise Architect, Data & Analytics Manager
* Business: Site Functional Heads (eg Head of Operations, Maintenance etc.), Group Function Heads, eg, Procurement, IT, Finance, business colleagues in the relevant functions (eg involved in workshops, testing, training, Hypecare etc)
* External: N/A
Aim of the Job
The Global Process Owner is responsible to deliver the detail relevant for the programme which underpins the high-level ambition from the GPOs by defining a set of Global Template processes. They are then responsible for supporting the full implementation of those global processes via defining clear global requirements and verifying their enablement by system solutions, and then ultimately tested, trained and migrated into the live environment. After the Global Template is defined, they are then responsible for ensuring there is a close fit to the global template by acting as a guardian to the detail of the business requirements and Process designs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Process Leadership
* Responsible for a process area within one or more E2E value stream(s)
* Defines the programmes Global Template and its requirements and processes in the detail:
* The global single point of contact for the business?ownership of that process area? for the programme and any business colleagues engaged with the programme.
* Works hand-in-glove with the SI Functional lead and the IT?Functional lead? to provide a joined-up solution (both process and technical)
* Responsible to ensure alignment with any GPOs who have an E2E value stream which impacts their process area (eg Procurement RPL responsible for maintaining alignment with Source to Pay and Record to Report GPOs)
* Represents the process area and is conversant in how this relates to the relevant E2E value streams and touch points with other RPL's processes on the programme
* Clearly articulates the voice of the business for their process area
* Provides a site/function agnostic view of the overall best compromise for the organisation
* Responsible that all relevant input from the stakeholders is articulated within the business requirements
* Responsible to ensure that any key Risks as defined in a Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) are clearly addressed in the process maps and business requirements.
* For their process area, ensures the programme processes, systems, data, change management and training aligns to any relevant agreed safety, quality, values and benefits.
* Contributes to programme plans, risks and issues to ensure these are tuned' to the sensitivities relevant for this process area.
* Liaises with GPOs and other RPLs/stakeholders to manage conflicting priorities and remove obstacles and constraints.
* Support the Programme Change Board to evaluate and?approve/decline proposed Change Requests?
Global Template Delivery and Ownership
* Defines the Global Template business requirements
* Responsible to verify that the business requirements are met by technical solutions where proposed by the Programme
* Responsible to verify the potential impact of any requirements not delivered by the programme (eg in change impacts/business workarounds)
* Defines the Global Template Process Maps, leveraging existing template process materials as available/provided by the Programme
* Ensures alignment to key policy decisions for their E2E area as defined by the GPO or relevant functions
* Reviews and approves the relevant sections of standard data structures/configuration settings which deliver any relevant business requirements for their area
* Reviews and approves the relevant sections of customisation Functional Specifications which deliver any relevant business requirements for their area
* Reviews and approves the relevant sections of Data Migration Routines including business mapping logic which deliver any relevant business requirements for their area
* Responsible for testing global template solutions and signing these off as meeting the Global Template requirements
* Reviews and approves the relevant access and roles for their areas proposed for the applications by the SI Security & Authorisations lead
Global Template Implementation:
* Supporting in the running of the localisation Gap Fit' Workshops with local businesses to challenge them to adopt the Global Template
* Explaining to business colleagues and Local Process Experts from each Wave, how the Global Template will support their business
* Working alongside the SI Functional Lead and IT Functional lead, understand and propose solutions to address any gaps identified between the Global Template and key local requirements
* Agreeing localisations/variations from the global template where required whilst giving suitable challenge deviations from standard in order to minimise local customisation
* Identify and escalate to the relevant GPO any potential challenges or shortfalls any proposed localisations (or lack of) will have on benefits or the target state.
* Work with the Change team to identify and propose mitigations to any change impacts identified
* Work with the Communications team to ensure adequate and impactful communications are complimenting the change activities
* Review and approve the Training Materials as proposed by the Training team - ensuring these represent both process, data and system steps as relevant.
* Involved in programme workshops to ensure a pragmatic approach to change is adopted
* Ensure the programme identifies and engage the right local expertise and where applicable releases that resource to support the programme.
* Verifies that for their process area, Change Management, Communications and Training teams adequately gauge the level of intervention required and are engaging the right levels and volume of stakeholders.
* Verifies that the Programme has calculated and provisioned adequate resources and arrangements for the programme to ensure a successful implementation of the process improvements and changes in their process area.
* Supports the Data Migration, Cutover and Hypercare processes to ensure a smooth landing for the RenU programme with the business
Specific know how and skills
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory and trading environments
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and different languages would be preferable. English is a must.
* Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills to create the compromise' which will define the Global Template.
* Able to act in an environment of conflicting interests

Education
* University degree
* Suitable professional qualifications in the respective process area of function
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of working with site Lead Team.
* Experienced in high hazard industry (chemical/nuclear)
* Minimum 5 years of process experience
Management & Reporting Relationship(s)
* Senior/respected role within a given function
* Reports to Programme Director, and indirectly to the COO
