We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic individual who genuinely enjoys the company of children.
Working alongside teaching and support staff, you will provide additional support in the smooth operation of the Junior School. You will be responsible for actively assisting pupils across all curricular areas, providing support for teaching colleagues, and assisting in the organisation of resources and activities.
This is an ideal job for a graduate looking to gain experience prior to applying for primary teacher training.
The role is term time only and is for the 25/26 academic session, starting 15 August 2025 until 26 June 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview at the Junior School during week commencing 31st March 2025.
Main Responsibilities:
Classroom Support
* Assisting with the teaching and learning process in classrooms and the wider school environment
* Being part of the staff team on all Junior School residential trips (P4-P6) and assisting on other trips as required
* Providing additional support at School events such as Concerts, drama productions and sports days
* Contributing to the co-curricular programme of the school
Wider School Support
* Assisting with Wrap Around Care, playground and lunchtime supervision
* Providing support to class teachers as directed by Heads of Department
PE & Games Coaching
* Assisting with the PE and Games programme, as directed by the Head Teacher (HT). This may involve a Saturday morning commitment
This is a varied role with the opportunity to get involved in a number of different co-curricular activities. We are seeking someone who is flexible and keen to immerse his / her / their self in wider school life. Support will be available with the PGDE application process, should the candidate choose to apply.
