About the Team
The GIAA Finance & Commercial team is responsible for providing sound financial management and commercial advice, preparing management and financial accounts, leading on budgeting and forecasting, and providing accurate information for Parliamentary control and public accountability purposes.
About the Job
In this role, you will:
• Lead the annual budgeting process for GIAA.
• Lead on monitoring, tracking and reporting on agreed efficiencies.
• Produce and maintain GIAA’s Medium Term Financial plan
• Lead on multi-year Spending Review exercises when they arise, acting as lead contact for GIAA with HM Treasury.
• Be a supportive line manager to Finance Business Partner providing high quality management and coaching to support their performance and continued development.
• Work closely with the Innovation and Development Director on managing their financial position and providing valuable financial advice and analysis, challenge and support, strategic insight and business solutions.
• Effectively engage with Innovation and Development Director and others in the directorate to understand innovations within the business and how they affect and can benefit financial processes and reporting.
About You
The successful candidate will:
• Experience of preparing annual budgets
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in an understandable format to non-finance partners.
• Experience of financial modelling
• Ability to form and maintain strong personal relationships with experience of providing support and challenge to senior leaders.
• Track record of continuous improvement and improving financial processes.
• An experienced leader and manager, able to coach and motivate staff with a positive, proactive attitude.

Hybrid Working is available to GIAA colleagues. This means a combination of office working and working from home. This includes time spent in our GIAA office locations and can also include any time spent attending our customers' sites.
GIAA colleagues are expected to work in an office location for three days a week on average (60%). Naturally, this expectation will be applied on a pro-rata basis for people who have a part-time or compressed hours working pattern.
