WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is looking for a skilled and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist who will be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine procedures on Bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans, and lung.

Responsibilities:
Preparation:
1. Ensure patient identification, safety and preparation procedures are correct before starting nuclear medicine examinations.
2. Ensure relevant patient history is documented.
3. Inform supervisor, or designated person, of unusual or abnormal cases.
4. Set up and adjust nuclear medicine equipment, maintaining established protocol.
5. Monitor supplies and notify supervisor of shortages.
Performance of Nuclear Medicine Procedures:
1. Radio pharmaceutical preparation and quality management.
2. Bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans and lung.
3. I131 thyroid treatments, Bone Densitometry scans.
4. Gallium scans, RBC liver/spleen scans.
5. Venograms, dacrocystograms and testicular scans.
6. Rest and stress MUGA’s.
Quality Control:
1. Ensure (and monitor) all quality control assessments are performed as required.
Equipment Maintenance:
1. Observe and report all malfunctions in nuclear medicine equipment.
2. Follow manufacturer's guidelines for operation, maintenance and minor troubleshooting.
Reporting:
1. Sign all required documentation.
2. Ensure all abnormal and urgent cases are handled as outlined in departmental guidelines.
Safety:
1. Clean, tidy and disinfect nuclear medicine equipment and change rooms.
2. Follow established health and safety procedures.
Regulations:
1. Comply with all Company and Government Regulations.
2. Maintain continuing CMRTO registration and medical educational requirements necessary for ongoing certification.
Other:
1. Under direction of the supervisor/clinic manager, assists other staff members when workload is completed.
2. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
3. Rest and Stress myocardial imaging.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
1. Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of the relevant province.
2. Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.
3. Maintain current CPR and First Aid certificate.
4. Maintain competence in position by attending staff meetings.
5. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, good command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to work varying shifts and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Self-evaluate performance, establish personal objectives and participate in yearly staff performance review.
