QC Technician - Cheshire - Permanent - up to £27,000 DOE - Pharma - Onsite
The Company:
Our client manufactures and packs tablets and hard-shell capsules for the European nutritional industry. The company employs around 360 people on site in Cheshire and has an excellent track record of growth and ambitious plans for future expansion.
Purpose of Role:
1. To support the QC team with routine administrative tasks and laboratory technician activities.
2. To perform basic testing and assessment of raw materials, packaging components, in-process materials, and finished products.
3. To assist with QC analytical data management to support reporting and process improvement.
4. To work effectively within the QC department to ensure regulatory compliance and business requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Basic testing and assessment of packaging materials, raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
2. Co-ordinating the raw material and finished product systems within the laboratory to ensure deadlines are met.
3. Documentation control within the QC laboratory.
4. Liaising with external contract laboratories and ensuring samples are sent efficiently.
5. Assist in the co-ordination of sample throughput for stability.
6. Filing of completed paperwork and management of the retain sample system.
7. To communicate any problems/queries to the Quality Control Manager.
8. Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area and to ensure a standard of good housekeeping in all areas of the company.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
1. 5 GCSE'S at grade C or higher including English Language and Mathematics; A level or equivalents/degree of equivalent in chemistry related subjects.
2. Sound written and verbal communication skills.
3. Good IT skills, experience with Microsoft Office essential.
4. Decisive thinker, able to work within agreed timescales.
5. Methodical, organised, and have an excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
1. Experience of working in a Quality Control role within the Food or Pharmaceutical industries in a GMP or ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
2. Experience of basic analytical techniques and laboratory equipment.
3. Knowledge of EU quality related pharmaceutical and food regulations.
