We are looking for a Traffic Safety & Control Officer to join our Infrastructure Roads team on our M42 project in Birmingham.
What you'll do:
1. Liaise with Assistant Traffic Manager and Traffic Managers on daily basis to agree scope and programme of works
2. Review traffic management drawings
3. Aiding the Project team on TM Issues
4. Check and maintain all traffic management
5. Produce daily reports recording traffic management
6. Maintain traffic management vehicle, and equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose
7. Advise Assistant Traffic Manager of any traffic management concerns
8. Ensure all operations are correctly segregated from the public
9. Ensure all traffic management is in accordance with Chapter 8
10. Ensure all stakeholders have required access to properties, driveways etc.
11. To oversee the safe installation and removal of Traffic Management whilst ensuring compliance with all legal and company regulations / policies.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1. Knowledge of Traffic Signs Manual, Traffic Signs Regulation and General Directions (TSRGD)
2. Extensive Knowledge of Chapter 8
3. Temporary Barrier Installation, temporary White Lining Installation, Narrow Lanes Installation & incident management
4. 12 A/B Foreman
5. 3 x Day First Aid Course / De-Fib
6. TSCO Qualified
7. CSCS: Gold Traffic Management Preferred
8. NRSWA supervisor – desirable or Understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act NRSWA
9. SSSTS / SMSTS
