Are you passionate about supporting the next generation of professionals? BAM UK&I is looking for a proactive and organised Early Careers Coordinator to help us deliver and grow our Early Careers and Professional Development programmes. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a hybrid working pattern, with some UK travel and overnight stays which are aligned to key events in the Early Careers calendar.
Your mission
Reporting to the Early Careers & Professional Development Manager, you’ll provide vital administrative, coordination, and logistical support to ensure the smooth delivery of BAM’s Early Careers initiatives, including apprenticeships, graduate programmes, internships, and professional development schemes. You’ll be at the heart of our Early Careers & Professional Development team, making a meaningful impact on new talent entering the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Early Careers Coordinator, you will:
1. Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support across all Early Careers and Professional Development programmes.
2. Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation for apprentices, graduates, interns, and professional development participants.
3. Support recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding activities.
4. Coordinate logistics for assessment centres, inductions, training sessions, and development workshops.
5. Prepare programme materials, contracts, templates, and communications.
6. Manage reporting and monitoring of internal KPIs and data systems (e.g., apprenticeship levy and DAS accounts).
7. Act as a key point of contact for queries, managing the Early Careers mailbox and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
8. Assist with communications and promotional activities e.g digital content, newsletters and other collateral.
9. Provide administrative support including hotel bookings, liaising with training providers and suppliers, processing invoices, and maintaining event calendars.
10. Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives to continually enhance our Early Careers programmes.
Who are we looking for?
Essential Experience:
1. Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within HR, Learning & Development, recruitment, or Early Careers.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.
5. Experience supporting a team and managing stakeholder relationships.
6. Experience organising events, training, or recruitment campaigns.
Desirable Experience:
1. Familiarity with Early Careers programmes, such as apprenticeships, graduate schemes, or internships.
2. Knowledge of apprenticeship levy and DAS systems.
3. Experience with data reporting tools such as Power BI.
4. Interest in professional development, learning, and HR processes.
