An exciting job role has become available on Simpson Ward for a band 4 Nursing Associate role.
Our Nursing Associate will primarily support the nursing and medical teams to treat patients with long-term conditions and complex health and social care needs including patients with dementia. You will also support the team in the facilitation of early discharge from hospital where appropriate.
You will demonstrate a range of clinical skills and competencies along with excellent communication skills providing advice and information to patients and relatives with the aim of enabling maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
As part of this role you will work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of the patients on the ward.
Responsibilities
* You will primarily support the community nurse team in delivering care to clients with long-term conditions and complex health and social care needs across the community nursing and Intermediate Care Service.
* You will also support the team in the facilitation of early discharge from hospital where appropriate.
* You will demonstrate a range of clinical skills and competencies along with excellent communication skills providing advice and information to clients and carers with the aim of maintaining them in their own homes enabling maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
We are a supportive and friendly team where you will have the opportunity to build upon and develop your existing clinical skills. This post requires you to be a team player but confident to work autonomously as required.
Our working hours are 07:30-20:00 or night duties 19:30-08:00 with various shift patterns and weekend working on a rota basis.
