We have an exciting opportunity for a Change Manager (Global Grade 12) to join the EMRS Change team on a permanent basis. Team Overview You will be flexible and able to manage a busy/varied workload while maintaining quality of work delivered. You will able to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure they are brought to the logical conclusion. You will: Provide a EMRS Business Analysis resource pool for complex changes Lead the EMRS BA Team of to define, maintain and embed a framework for best practice in business analysis; and Assure the quality of requirements production as required across EMRS Ensure provision of appropriate assessment of system, and policy change impacting EMRS, and support effective governance running the programme of change for EMRS. Oversee smooth navigation of the assurance and approvals process, working closely with LCCC, ESC, BSC, National Grid and third Party Service Providers. Support product sub-teams, providing advice, direction and guidance on the implementation of preferred change and / or delivery options, working closely with internal and external stakeholders including BSC, Ofgem, DESNZ and National Grid. Ensure effective allocation and monitoring of change resources throughout the lifetime of a change project, working with the rest of the EMRS leadership team and Elexon as required. Job Purpose You will be leading the Change Team to make appropriate recommendations for implementation and solution options which meet our client and stakeholder needs. Your recommendations will enable the efficient management and operation of the CM, CfD and Nuclear RAB schemes. The EMRS Change Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of the EMRS Business Analysis (BA) team. This involves managing resources, ensuring high-quality BA activities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Change Manager will guide team members, provide support, mentor and coach and also conduct quality reviews of their work. The role extends to developing the EMRS Change capability by implementing best practices, refining frameworks, and promoting collaboration and agility within the organisation. The EMRS Change Manager will lead the planning and execution of BA activities for various initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies and roadmaps. Key Responsibilities: Manage and carry out Change Assessments ensuring resources are sufficient to assess and deliver against the change and support services in line with the Settlement Services Provider Agreement (SSPA), chairing change boards and workshops as necessary. Problem management by supporting the resolution of operational and delivery problems, including maintenance of Known Error Log and prevention of incidents in including root cause analysis, workarounds to problems and identify and progress fixes via the change management procedures. Performance management of the EMR Change Team ensuring all team members are performance reviewed and provided with development opportunities. Responsible for change reporting by ensuring change elements of governance packs and papers are created, reviewed and issued on time. Independently elicit, analyse, define, document and communicate the business requirements using in-depth knowledge of the BA tools and techniques to create a shared understanding amongst business and technical stakeholders to enable the implementation of an effective solution. Ensure requirements and solutions are aligned with EMRS and Elexon enterprise architecture principles and target architectures Capabilities Critical A minimum of 5 years’ experience of assessing and managing change in a diverse environment. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing a diverse team of various grades and expertise. Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional, cross-company matrix environment. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and utilises an iterative approach to enable rapid delivery. Strong analytical skills. Technical and analytical report writing. Excellent English verbal and nonverbal skills with an eye for detail. Comfortable and proficient in writing and delivering presentations Experience of people management including objective setting and other performance management functions. Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional, cross-company matrix environment. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and utilises an iterative approach to enable rapid delivery. Experience of the delivery of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, Dynamic System Delivery (DSDM) / Waterfall and how to apply these to all aspects of delivery. Desirable Working knowledge of: PRINCE2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes Advanced Practitioner, P3O Practitioner, APM Registered Project Professional, or, Project Leadership Programme. Familiarity with Model Driven UML tools, JIRA or equivalent Issue and Project Managing software.
