Job title:Head of Facilities Are you able to deliver high quality and customer focused facilities management services across all Ben premises which maximises the health, safety and security of the internal and external environment for customers, colleagues, visitors, contractors and other stakeholders across multiple sites. Can you provide effective strategic leadership and operational management of the facilities management team ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements. Our Company Benefits for Head of Facilities: Working for us means youll benefit from: 31 days holiday (prorate) Life assurance Free Parking Access to Perkbox Employee Assistance Programme Wellbeing support Rewards and incentives Event days Key role responsibilities Head of Facilities: To work with the Senior Executive Team in the development and implementation of strategic plans for Bens estate and facilities management services To ensure planned maintenance activities are completed on schedule and within budget, and that urgent repairs are completed within approved timescales Identify, negotiate, manage and review procurement or contract renewals in relation to Bens estate and facilities in line with Bens financial policies and procedures. Lead on the preparation of contract specifications and development of service contracts To ensure work/inspection and testing schedules; standard operating procedures for all maintenance works, inspection and testing of plant, equipment, tools, facilities, vehicles etc. are implemented across all Ben premises in line with regulations, insurance and legislation To ensure that effective and cost-efficient resource planning arrangements are implemented within facilities management services to maintain operational cover and meet business needs To lead on the development of facilities management and related policies and procedures and ensure their effective implementation within the organisation To ensure the effective implementation of Bens organisational policies and procedures and within the facilities management team To ensure that effective management information systems are maintained within the facilities management function which complies with legislative requirements To procure goods and services in relation to the facilities management functions across Ben sites in line with Bens policies and procedures and systems To ensure the effective management of all aspects of health and safety matters within the organisation including risk assessments, health and safety policy, fire safety and emergency planning To ensure customers, visitors and colleagues are fully aware of all fire safety and evacuation procedures To ensure compliance with current Fire, Health & Safety at Work, Environmental Health and associated legislation by ensuring that Bens policies and procedures are implemented within the facilities management team and that safe procedures and practices are carried out at all times, following appropriate reporting arrangements as required Experience required: Proven experience of working successfully in a facilities management Experience of managing a budget and ensuring value for money and that resources are used effectively Experience of monitoring and managing contracts and contractors to provide cost effective goods and services Experience of successfully leading, managing, coaching and developing a team Experience of developing policies and procedures Technical Knowledge: British I nstitute of Facilities Management Level 5 Diploma or equivalent or qualified by experience NEBOSH/IOSH certification or the equivalent Health & Safety qualification Comprehensive practical and procedural knowledge in a specialist area i.e. Landscape Management, Engineering or Building Excellent knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation & Statutory compliance Hours of work for Head of Facilities: 35 hours per week 9am to 5pm. Flexibility required. Hybrid role 80/20 split approx. 80% on site travel required.
