Title: Senior Building Surveyor – Repairs and Maintenance
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: London E15 4PH
Persona: Agile (Office based 20-40%)
Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 (plus £1,300 Essential Car User Allowance*)

Role Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Building Surveyor with a repairs and maintenance background to manage and improve our surveying team.
Reporting to the Surveying Manager, you will lead a team of up to 10 surveyors, collaborating with internal departments such as Housing, Direct Maintenance, Minor and Major Works, Leasehold Teams, and others. You will also manage relationships with stakeholders including MPs, councillors, the Housing Ombudsman Service, and local authorities.
You should be confident in diagnosing repairs and specifying remedial works using the NHF schedule of rates, with proven experience in a similar role and organization. Motivating your team to achieve excellent results is essential.
Candidate Requirements
* People management experience
* Professional qualification in Building Surveying or relevant experience
* Understanding of Section 20 processes
* Experience in providing excellent customer service
* Knowledge of NHF schedule of rates
* Ability to influence and manage stakeholder relationships
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
