Tobacco Dependency Delivery Co-ordinator
Coordinate, plan and deliver a qualitative National Centre of Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) gold standard Stop Smoking Programme to patients on EPUT wards within Mid and South Essex (MSE) on discharge to support clients in the community or refer onto Essex Wellbeing Service (EWS) for ongoing support where appropriate.
* Provide brief interventions to inpatients to improve their lifestyle and advise on further support available, applying behaviour change/motivational Interviewing techniques to support individual lifestyle changes.
Liaise with EPUT management to set up a seamless referral system to enable timely intervention to new smokers on the ward.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver brief Intervention Training and Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training to professionals.
* Support clients with multiple complexities with their quit attempts.
* Line management & supervision of Tobacco Dependency Stop Smoking Practitioners.
* Allocate workload ensuring waiting lists are kept at a minimum.
* Initiate regular auditing of delivery on the ward and ensure that quality standards are assured.
* Monitor performance and KPIs to include producing reports on key indicator targets.
* Complaint and incident management: Provide support with investigating and responding to incoming complaints and follow procedure. Feed into line manager to support the performance process and identification of developmental needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Relevant Degree or demonstrable experience equivalent to degree level in relevant area such as public health, community development and health and social care.
* Making Every Contact Count training or willingness to undertake it.
Experience
* Experience in managing caseloads.
* Experience of multi-agency working in your area of expertise.
