Overview
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate projects and initiatives to enhance data and information management within SRS and across interfacing units on campus. The role will require significant skill in data and database management, process improvement, and collaborative project management and execution.
General Purpose: The Project Manager will ensure timely and successful execution of assigned projects by developing comprehensive project charters and project plans; communicating project goals, progress and outcomes; and helping to assure success of SRS’s data management initiatives. This is a temporary 6 month position.
Responsibilities
1. Develop comprehensive project charters and project plans.
2. Utilize project management tools to track and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
3. Ensure the timely and successful execution of SRS projects.
4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
5. Effectively communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
6. Lead the coordination and implementation of various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
7. Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and overall project health.
8. Implement efficient task management systems to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
9. Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as necessary.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SRS projects and project management strategies into broader organizational strategies.
11. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.
12. Generate and submit regular reports on project status and other relevant metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
13. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a STEM related field.
Experience:
Minimal Qualifications: 1+ years in a project management role and 2+ years in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years in a project management role with demonstrated progressive responsibility.

2. Strong proficiency in data, database, and information management.
3. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, troubleshoot, and work independently or as part of a team.
4. Experience collaborating on complex projects.
