Job Title: Engineering Manager – Electrical Engineering (Control & Instrumentation)

What you’ll be doing:
* Provide day to day support to the Senior Engineering Manager - Systems Engineering and Integration, deputising where requested.
* Provide leadership and governance oversight of Requirements Decomposition, System Design, Development, Implementation and Integration.
* Provide leadership and support to the System Team in maturing the delivery strategies in context of Whole Boat.
* Provide leadership to the System Team and transversals in review and acceptance of deliverables.
* Provide leadership and support to the System Team in Design Development and Declaration of compliance against all requirements.
* Chair relevant workshops and working groups.
* Liaise with internal and external customers as required to foster collaborative working relationships and ensure requirements are adequately articulated, understood and met.
* Work with BAE Systems’ supply chain department and collaborate with partners to ensure a fit for purpose solution to the requirements.
Your skills and experiences:
* BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in a STEM subject.
* CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng).
* Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle, ideally within final design phase and later phases.
* Test and validation plans.
* Experience with System design verification e.g. calculations, modelling, analysis.
* Awareness of aircraft best practises ARP4754A, DO178, DO254 or equivalent.
The Control & Instrumentation (C&I) team:
As an Engineering Manager, you will be providing leadership and governance oversight of the platform control and instrumentation systems. You will provide day to day management of the team leads and be responsible for developing and maintain the competency and skills of C&I personnel. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
