Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering PPA time for class teachers across Key Stage 2 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities across a range of subjects within the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive learning environment during the absence of the regular class teacher.
* Providing constructive feedback to class teachers regarding students' progress and behaviour during PPA cover sessions.
* Collaborating with the Key Stage 2 team to ensure alignment with the school's curriculum objectives and teaching methodologies.
* Upholding the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management protocols.
* Engaging students through interactive and stimulating teaching methods to promote a love for learning and academic achievement.
* Maintaining accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student assessments as required by the school.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ages 7-11) preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work collaboratively with different classes and teachers across Key Stage 2.
* Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
