I am looking to recruit a Product Manager for my client based near Horwich/Chorley on a Remote Basis (with 1-2 times per month in the office and occasional client site visits).
I am looking for an experienced product manager to join the team to help our clients with their efficiency.
I’m looking for someone to own a key product in our portfolio and to help the business become more product-driven.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with the Product team to identify features required in the product. Help in determining acceptance criteria and tests, cost/value metrics to inform prioritisation, and dependencies to inform planning and roadmaps.
* Determine the detailed functionality required by system users to implement the feature. Express this as user stories to support Agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban, XP).
* Communicate required functionality to interactive designers, developers, and testers and accept feedback as to feasibility and alternative approaches, facilitating planning of the work required to implement.
* Respond to day-to-day queries on specifications, clarifying with peers and product management/customers as needed to provide the correct answers.
* Provide input into the severity of defects so that they may be scheduled for resolution in line with the product quality plan.
* Accept tested incremental changes from the development team.
* Demonstrate completed features to product management and the wider business. Obtain feature acceptance and support transition to operation.
* Prepare documentation and training material to support feature release, working with documentation, training, and support specialists as required.
* Advocate the product with our customer and user base, eliciting feedback and collating requests and ideas for further feature development and prioritising these with product management.
* Understand and catalogue the personas that represent our user and stakeholder base.
* Maintain a domain glossary of applicable terminology.
* Keep abreast of modern product design practices such as Lean UX, Design Thinking, etc.
KEY SKILLS
* Strong experience as a Product Manager in software product development.
* Familiarity with user stories used as a means of specification and work management in Agile software development.
* Exposure to Continuous Exploration, Design Thinking, or Lean UX to support iterative software development.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, customers, and end users.
* Business process modelling.
OTHER SKILLS / EXPERIENCE DESIRED
* Specifying changes to web-based software-as-a-service products, including working with UX/UI designers.
* Behaviour-driven development by writing acceptance criteria in Gherkin syntax.
The role is paying up to £60k with benefits.
