We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Trust as a Trauma Facilitator. You would be assisting the trauma team in managing the flow of patients through the system and would support the team in arranging patients' tests, ensuring results are reviewed, and streamlining the patient pathway. You will work with the trauma team to ensure the theatre lists are reviewed and submitted. You would also be responsible for collecting and submitting data for the national hip fracture database. We are looking for someone with excellent computer skills as well as outstanding customer service skills. This role is a challenging and rewarding position with a degree of autonomous working required. Weekend and Bank Holiday cover is required along with a flexible approach to your working pattern. Main duties of the job
This post is part of the team of administrative and clerical staff within the Trauma & Orthopaedics Department. The postholder will work collaboratively with the medical and nursing staff in all clinical areas where there are trauma patients to provide clinical and administrative support. You will assist with all patients in their care and work under the direction of the trauma nurse specialist and medical staff to ensure that trauma patients receive optimal care and treatment within an agreed time framework.

* Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience/ Knowledge
* Proven experience in an acute hospital clinical role
* Previous orthopaedic experience

Salary: £18,648 to £20,199 a year inclusive (pro rata)
