Deputy Manager (Nurse Qualified) – Care Home Location: Woodbridge, Suffolk Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Full-Time | Permanent About Our Client: Our client is a well-established and highly respected care home based in the heart of Woodbridge, providing exceptional care for elderly residents. Their aim is to create a warm and supportive environment for both their residents and staff. They are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse-Qualified Deputy Manager to join their team. The Role: As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are provided to all residents. You will lead a dedicated team of care staff, oversee the daily operations of the home, and support the delivery of clinical care as needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home. Lead, manage, and mentor the care team to ensure high-quality care delivery. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and provide a safe environment for both residents and staff. Undertake assessments, care planning, and monitor care delivery for residents. Take responsibility for managing shifts and staffing levels. Support the recruitment, training, and development of care staff. Liaise with families, health professionals, and other stakeholders to provide holistic care to residents. Essential Requirements: Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN. Experience in a leadership or managerial role within a care setting. Strong knowledge of CQC standards and compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work under pressure and lead a team effectively. Desirable: Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or similar role in a care home setting. Management qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
