We are recruiting for a Break Fix Server Engineer on contract to work for a leading Banking Group based in Camberley.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working on HP, Dell and IBM servers.
2. Server provisioning, rack, stacking, and configuring servers.
3. Supporting trainee DC engineers when required.
4. Troubleshooting hardware faults and arranging replacements.
5. Installing and decommissioning redundant equipment.
6. Providing expert hardware support.
7. Proactively updating customer and resolution of service.
8. Co-operating and working closely with all members of the support team to ensure efficient, productive, and high-quality technical support and customer service to customers within the live Data Centre.
9. Liaising with onsite support engineers and within other sites.
10. Managing all incoming calls and emails to the data centre support function.
11. Liaising with third-party suppliers to report and escalate customer problems.
12. Responding to customers within agreed SLA.
13. Following escalation processes; tickets to support management and other teams as required.
14. Escalating tickets to 2nd line against agreed timescales and continuing to monitor these tickets to resolution.
Working on a shift rota:
1. Early - 07:00 to 14:30
2. Late - 14:30 to 22:00
3. Week night - 22:00 to 07:00
4. Weekend day - 07:00 to 19:00
5. Weekend night - 19:00 to 07:00
