We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our team in Aberdeen or London. As Power BI Developer you will design, develop and test reports and analytics on the Microsoft Platform as specified in Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog, to agreed data architecture and data engineering standards and provide technical assistance with training and support for the new reports and analytics.
What you’ll do
* Engage with the BI Business Analyst and Data & Analytics (D&A) Product Manager to design and develop the prioritised use cases in the Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog
* Translate the ADO use cases into designs
* Engage with the D&A Data Architecture and Data Engineering teams to develop the reports and analytics to agreed data and technical standards
* Prepare and analyse large datasets to deliver relevant insights
* Provide technical assistance with training and support for the new reports and analytics
What to bring
* Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
* Experienced practitioner in the implementation of reports and analytics using the Microsoft platform, including; Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Azure DevOps (ADO)
* Knowledge of logical and physical data modelling concepts
* Knowledge of data transformation and analysis techniques
* Practical experience using an Agile delivery methodology
* Ability to analyse datasets to derive meaningful insight
* Ability to deliver innovative visualisations/reports within a business context and support the BI Business Analyst to communicate them to senior stakeholders
