JOB DESCRIPTION
PwC is looking for a senior insight leader to drive the capability, excellence and delivery of our insight area.This is an area of strategic investment and critical to the firm and within the Sales and Marketing remit and we are looking for the right individual to lead on the vision and team capability into the future.
The team currently comprises circa 15 insight professionals from across a broad set of disciplines; including data analysis/modelling, data visualisation, economic analysis, primary research and secondary research. The team provides our leaders with both an internal and external view of how the firm is positioned in the market, and prides itself on analytical rigour.
The team delivers compelling and action-driving intelligence aligned to five core ’Insight Pillars’; these include Client Insight, Market Insight, Brand Insight, Competitor Insight and Sales Insight.
Sales and Marketing covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm’s market strategy
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the team delivery of high quality insight to key stakeholders in the firm through an Insight Framework which has been built around the core ‘Insight Pillars’ of Client Insight, Market Insight, Brand Insight, Competitor Insight and Sales Insight.
2. Work with leaders across PwC to inform, support and measure the go to market strategy.
3. Contribute to the continued development of an insight-led culture and mindset in Sales and Marketing and beyond.
4. Keep pace with the technology that underpins a progressive Insight function and make recommendations on its use in PwC, alongside optimising existing platforms.
5. Actively build a network with other insight specialists across the UK firm and Global Network to share knowledge, skills and data sets.
6. Bring together the various sources of market and client data across the firm to deliver meaningful insight that drives measurable outcomes.
7. Develop and inspire a team of insight specialists and data scientists with a focus on continuous learning, customer focus, people engagement and team spirit.
8. Define quality standards across the team and monitor service levels to ensure the highest standards of delivery.
9. Be accountable for recruitment, resourcing, talent management and progression within Insight & Analytics and deliver against a clear capability building strategy and L&D plan.
10. Manage performance effectively and ensure there is alignment of individual objectives with business priorities and strategy.
11. Build and maintain a network and profile – both internally and externally – to ensure continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and experience across the group.
The skills and experience we’re looking for
12. A proven track record at a senior level in insight, research, analytics or data within a marketing and sales function, ideally within a professional services environment.
13. Evidence of applying insight to create commercial outcomes.
14. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to liaise, influence, challenge effectively and build relationships at Executive Board, senior management, peer group and team level.
15. Experience of providing strategic advice and commercial, integrated research, insight, data and analytics expertise to senior executives.
16. A thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC and its individual businesses
17. Sound business acumen and Industry knowledge as well as being commercially and risk aware.
18. Excellent leadership and people management skills and experience of managing high performing teams.
19. A self-starter able to work effectively as part of a virtual team.

21. Excellent project leadership and organisation skills and the ability to operate and manage customers at all levels effectively within a complex matrix environment.
