As the Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Your role will focus on minimizing risks, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and fostering continuous improvement in EHS practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide ongoing EHS training and ensure effective communication with employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
2. Oversee waste disposal, emissions control, and effluent discharge, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
3. Coordinate emergency response plans.
4. Stay informed on the latest health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Promote initiatives to enhance employee health, safety, and overall well-being.
6. Develop and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) and EHS management systems, ensuring proper audits and corrective actions.
7. Ensure the organization maintains and achieves accreditation to relevant standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and ISO 50001.
8. Conduct incident investigations and reporting.
9. Conduct risk assessments, review Standard Work Procedures (SWP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure ongoing compliance.
10. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence.
11. Monitor and audit production processes to identify unsafe behaviors and ensure compliance with regulations.
12. Collaborate with law enforcement and investigators in the event of serious accidents or incidents.
REQUIREMENTS
1. In-depth knowledge of EHS legislation and procedures, experience in creating safety plans and leading EHS improvement initiatives.
2. Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices for managing waste, emissions, and other environmental impacts.
3. Experience with external audits and maintaining relevant certifications.
4. Good knowledge of 14001 and 45001 standards.
5. Ideally, you will have gained your experience from manufacturing or engineering.
