TPS Business Development Manager
Who are TPS?
TPS provides independent garages and bodyshops with high-quality Genuine Parts and products for servicing and repairing Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group, including brands like Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, and Volkswagen. TPS operates a national network of centres with a 1,500-strong workforce, emphasizing a motivating and inclusive workplace that encourages learning and development.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the TPS Area Sales Manager, the BDM will work across multiple TPS Centres, responsible for achieving sales targets, growing a loyal customer base, and delivering excellent customer service as a brand and product expert.
* Develop and execute sales strategies with ASM and Centre Managers to increase revenues from mechanical customers while maintaining loyalty.
* Meet KPIs and revenue goals within your territory.
* Identify, acquire, and develop new customer accounts.
* Support marketing initiatives and evaluate their success.
* Report on sales and marketing activities.
* Use market data to identify sales opportunities.
* Understand and communicate the unique selling points of TPS products, especially the genuine vs non-genuine aspects.
* Manage time effectively to maximize customer visits.
* Leverage customer visits with colleagues to achieve call objectives.
Stakeholder Management
* Update stakeholders on sales performance through reports and presentations.
* Manage support from business partners and investors to meet targets.
* Collaborate with ASM and CMs on Business Improvement Plans.
Customer Experience
* Maintain strong relationships with customers.
* Provide knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous service reflecting TPS's reputation.
What are we looking for?
* Effective engagement and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in creating strategies and managing activities to grow business.
* Practical financial awareness to identify risks and opportunities.
* Experience managing national campaigns.
* Ability to lead and motivate teams in a B2B or automotive environment.
* Understanding of core processes for centre excellence.
* High IT literacy.
* Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
