Full training to become a “Project Engineer” for world leading engineering company
The Overview:
Are you a senior electrical professional who has maybe hit a glass ceiling? Maybe you are tired of having to supervise a “gang of subbies” on projects? Or just fancy a change from being “hands-on”, in a role that is the next natural step in your career?
Fancy using all that knowledge to become a full “Project Engineer” for a world leading electrical manufacturer, running projects in sectors like rail, healthcare, and manufacturing?
We have a track record of placing people in this company over the last 12 years all across the UK, and – massively uncommon in 2025 – every single person (that’s 25!) is still there, with 7 of these being promoted into more senior roles. That alone tells its own story. It offers you the opportunity to be trained on massively unique equipment (things you will not have come across before) which will undoubtedly further your career.
It’s very rare this kind of opportunity comes about, so we want someone who can grow into a project role with a view to even larger career opportunities.
And with the basic salary, car allowance, and bonus, this will easily clear £50k a year for you.
The Role Itself:
So what is the actual role itself? This company has a team of Project Engineers across the UK and is now looking for someone who can run and manage another part of the projects in another part of the business – with a real focus on rail. But we’re open to the sector you come from, as long as you have some sharp electrical experience and an understanding of how projects work.
You will be trained on all their equipment, usually working with directors of client companies and looking to build relationships. The role is home-based, and you will plan and manage your own days – so some real autonomy – being on-site where needed.
About You:
Traditionally, we usually look to place electrical professionals who are looking to develop their skillset on bigger, more complex equipment or for people who have hit a “glass ceiling” where they are.
You must be able to read electrical diagrams and have run projects in some capacity, but the reality is the equipment will be new, and we want someone who wants to learn and develop their career.
Our Client:
We have worked with some of the major electrical players in the world over the years. This is the organization that I have the most interest in from candidates historically. A multinational company present in every continent apart from Antarctica, who are organically growing in the UK, giving it the feeling of a growing SME (expanded by 25% in the last 4 years) in the UK, which gives it a unique feel.
They manufacture their own electrical equipment, which is provided in numerous sectors across the world and have to train new staff around such equipment – complex stuff and things that will be completely new to your skill set.
