Hours 37.5 hours a week, Monday Friday hours can be flexed, circa 8-4pm
We are a pioneering design and manufacturing organisation with a new, highly innovative product range. Due to growth and further expansion, we are looking for a talented Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to work as part of our dynamic team. As such, you will have the ability to make a real difference to how our products are made and be a key member of the team as we continue to develop.
This will be a new product (NPI)/ design for manufacture (DFM) focussed Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering role working closely with R&D and production operations to support product ramp up / scale up and ultimately supporting how we plan, document and build our products to personify and improve product performance.
Key accountabilities as Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer will include:
* New product Introduction (NPI) working closely with R&D and operations to support the transition of new products from design into full scale manufacture.
* Design for Manufacture (DFM) - Analysis of new designs to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) & DFA criteria is met, and looking at innovative ways to improve build and processes.
* Identifying and tooling of jig / fixturing requirements for new products
* Liaising with any sub-contract manufacturers during the development and initial phases to ensure ability to deliver on scale
* Working with the team to ensure best practice is built, through the use of lean tools and techniques such as FMEA s etc
To succeed in this interesting and varied role with real ongoing personal development, you will likley be:
* A Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer with experience gained in an electro-mechanical assembly or related assembly environment looking for a fresh new opportunity where you can make a difference
* Be qualified in an electronic/electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or have relevant industry experience.
* Proven New Product Introduction (NPI) / Design for Manufacture (DFM) experience
* Be an innovative thinker who can work with a motivated team on a product they are passionate about.
