Can you create compelling and engaging social media content for a range of audiences? Can you juggle multiple projects in a busy and creative environment? Do you have excellent copywriting, planning and communication skills? Are you data driven with a keen eye on the latest social media trends and developments?
We are looking for a Social Media Officer to help develop and implement our social media strategy, relating to the RSC's productions and activity across the UK.
Reporting to the Social Media Manager, key areas of responsibility include:
1. Producing content in line with the RSC's social media strategies, to maximise the engagement, growth and reach of our channels and promote our brand.
2. Helping create and monitor social media campaigns, including paid-for advertising.
3. Writing copy for social media posts and paid campaigns.
4. Working with Digital Development and Visual Communications teams to generate video content and assets for social media.
5. Attending and assisting at video and content shoots.
6. Monitoring and reporting on social media activity and using analytics tools to report on the effectiveness of campaigns using data and insight.
7. Responding to incoming customer queries across all social media channels and safeguarding the reputation of the brand.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
1. Prior experience working in social media.
2. Excellent copywriting, planning and communication skills with the ability to create simple, clear and engaging content for a range of audiences.
3. Experience with a range of social media platforms, including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
4. Good relationship management skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
5. A data-driven approach and the ability to measure, monitor and continually improve social media performance.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although a degree of flexibility will be required according to workload, including some evening and weekend work as required. The RSC is committed to flexible working and there may be occasions when you can work remotely, subject to your line manager's approval.
