Astute's Renewables team is partnering closely with a Wind Turbine OEM who are looking for an Electrical Technician / Wind Turbine Technician to join them. We're looking for individuals from the wind industry or those wanting to make their first steps into the industry. Candidates should have an excellent, diligent attitude to their work and a desire to grow with the business.
This Electrical Technician role for onshore wind turbines comes with a starting salary of £37,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will:
1. Carry out electrical fault-finding and diagnosis on wind turbines.
2. Install and retrofit key components as per a PPM schedule.
3. Trace faults and issues, reporting on common ones found.
4. Look for continuous improvement opportunities on the turbines.
5. Adhere to all key H&S measures when climbing and working in the turbines.
6. Climb up and down wind turbines.
7. Produce digital reports of the service and maintenance work carried out.
8. If authorised, carry out HV duties or be willing to learn and become authorised to do this.
9. Assist with mechanical issues when required.
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
1. A minimum level 3 electrical qualification.
2. Previous wind turbine experience is not essential.
3. Fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
4. A H&S qualification is not essential.
Personal Skills
The Electrical Wind Technician role would suit someone who is:
1. Proficient with IT skills.
2. In reasonable physical fitness to climb up and down turbines.
3. Holds a valid UK driving licence.
