At Colchester Hospital, we are looking for a Biomedical Scientist in Histopathology to join us to cover maternity leave until 13th March 2026.
This post is full-time (37.5 hours per week), however, we would consider a minimum of 30 hours per week.
You will be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a Biomedical Science BSc degree or equivalent with evidence of CPD.
You will be working for a busy, dedicated and friendly team who are waiting for UKAS accreditation notification. We are a team that will support and actively encourage you in your training and development.
We are looking for you to have UK based lab experience for this role.

Responsibilities
* Undertake testing and processing of biomedical specimens, analysis, recording of results, and entering of information onto the laboratory IT systems.
* Work flexibly in reflection of service needs, which may include an extended working day.
* Supervise and/or train less experienced staff in your area of work and competency.
* Maintain and promote a professional image of the organisation.
* Be involved in maintaining our quality management system.
