We are currently seeking a Principal Control System and Instrumentation Engineer reporting directly to the UK Head of ICST to join our C&I team based in London or Milton Keynes.

About the opportunity we offer you:
Technip Energies UKOC is seeking an accomplished Principal Control System and Instrumentation Engineer for major energy transition, olefins, refinery and petrochemical projects that will be located in both UK and international markets.
Role responsibilities include:
This key role will report to the ICST Manager and will have responsibility for the following:
1. Prepare and check engineering procedures and standards.
2. Oversight and supervision of:
o Discipline basis of design
o Discipline Specifications
o Datasheets
o Requisitions
o Technical bid evaluations
o Detailed discipline drawings
3. Provide technical recommendations on the selection of equipment for Projects.
4. Check and review vendor proposals, documentation, and drawings.
5. Participate in project, client, and vendor meetings.
6. Support input to Construction Sub-contract and evaluate bids.
7. Travel in the UK and overseas for meetings, equipment testing and site technical support for projects.
About you:
We love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:
1. A degree-level engineering qualification with extensive experience in a design engineering and plant design work environment.
2. Solid FEED and EPC knowledge.
3. Capability in design, from first principles, of the electrical infrastructure associated with the petrochemical plant.
4. Capacity to serve as an area technical lead whilst sharing expertise.
5. Substantial knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the petrochemical industry.
6. Significant understanding of hazardous area requirements, DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 60079, API RP 500 & 505 and IP Part 15.
7. Good experience of working on major FEED and EPC projects in the process industry.
8. Full understanding of all aspects of C&I Engineering and Design.
9. Experience of P&ID reviews, HAZOPs and SIL reviews.
10. Capacity to develop Specification, Narratives, Cause and effects, MTOs, etc.
11. Knowledge of leading multi-office projects.
12. Some background in working on UK Projects.
