Providing admin support and ad-hoc duties to the OOH clinical team. Receive telephone calls to the GP OOH Service via the Health Professional Line. Receive and book patients, signposting as necessary. Accurately transcribe patient demographic details onto the Adastra system. To arrange patient transport either by ambulance or ERS, according to Trust protocol when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients, staff and all necessary departments. To liaise with the Pathology Department regarding the results of patient blood tests. Adhere to all working protocols and procedures. Liaise with Emergency Department when necessary. To drive the clinician to home visits safely and within agreed standard timescales, as well as providing an escort to the clinician where necessary. To be responsible for loading and unloading the appropriate medical equipment in the vehicle and ensuring all necessary equipment/stationery is available in the car prior to call out. To maintain the security and cleanliness of the vehicle at all times. To comply at all times with the Road Traffic Act and other relevant legislation. Completion of vehicle and journey documentation.
