Job Summary:
We need an experienced HR Generalist to provide comprehensive operational and strategic HR support to the London office. You’ll be a key player in driving change, working across all areas of HR to create a positive and productive work environment. You’ll partner with managers and partners to provide expert HR advice and solutions, building strong organizational and people capabilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations & Engagement:
1. Stay up-to-date with employment law and best practices.
2. Provide guidance on HR policy and UK employment law.
3. Support performance management and lead complex case management.
4. Handle conduct, grievance, and disciplinary issues.
5. Develop initiatives to increase staff engagement.
2. Operational HR:
1. Deliver an effective operational HR service.
2. Manage holiday requests, absence, leave, and flexible working.
3. Oversee HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
4. Handle queries related to leave and pay.
5. Ensure proper probation review process.
3. Legal Personnel:
1. Manage new lawyer integration and induction.
2. Analyse associate feedback and retention data.
3. Coordinate lawyer departures and exit interviews.
4. Oversee mentoring and secondment arrangements.
4. Professional Development:
1. Mentor and develop HR assistants.
5. Health & Wellbeing:
1. Support health and wellbeing initiatives.
2. Coordinate occupational health checks and assessments.
6. Learning & Development and Career Progression:
1. Identify skills gaps and support training programs.
7. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion:
1. Support diversity and inclusion policies.
2. Promote equality and inclusion within the office.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. 5+ years of HR generalist experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3. CIPD qualification strongly preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
5. Experience in employee relations, resourcing, change management, and performance management.
6. Familiarity with HR systems.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
9. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
10. Attention to detail and follow-through.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
12. Problem-solving and initiative.
13. Flexible and hands-on attitude.
14. Experience with HR systems implementation.
15. Experience with international visas and mobility.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Details:
1. Hybrid Working: Monday-Thursday in office, work from home on Fridays.
