As we continue to develop our Mental Health Support Work in our Police Control Room pilot, we are looking for people interested in being involved This role is contracted for 28 hours per week and is until January 2025. There is a requirement of this role that you are able to travel between our police control rooms in Ponteland and South Shields, so being a driver would be beneficial. The Police Control Room pilot puts you in the heart of Northumbria Police supporting their response to those in our communities experiencing mental health difficulties. The role is supported by a sergeant on duty every shift, and provides a unique opportunity to work in an environment we wouldn’t normally get access to. Crisis experience desirable, however mental health experience would be considered or recent graduates with relevant experience through volunteering/employment. About You We would love to hear from you if you possess the following: Demonstrable experience of working 1:1 with service users with complex needs Demonstrable experience working within Health, social care or VCSE systems Awareness of national and local organisations and other resources that can support individuals to improve and maintain good mental health.
