Your new role, what's involved?
As a Degree Apprentice at WSP you will be a full-time, permanent employee, getting paid while working on exciting, real-world projects from day one. With support from your experienced team and dedicated buddy, you’ll gain hands-on experience in an inspiring environment. You will be equipped with the most sophisticated design tools, exploring fresh, new ways to design and build for our future, using the latest software, gaining technical experience while you learn on the job.
You’ll start your apprenticeship in September 2025, attending a local university for either one day per week or block placement, gaining a full undergraduate degree in your chosen subject. Typically, the Degree Apprenticeship takes between 5-6 years to complete (including End Point Assessment in England).
Our dedicated Early Careers team will work closely with you over the course of your apprenticeship to support and plan a development pathway that suits you.
As an Apprentice with WSP you will feel a sense of belonging in an environment where everyone feels respected and valued. We want you to be your true authentic self at work and be inspired, learn, discover, and feel empowered in your career.
We have opportunities in:
* Civil Engineering: Within our Bridges, Roads, Water, Community, Mobility, Planning Development, Energy and Structures team(s) you will learn how to design, build, and maintain our roads, bridges, sports stadiums, high rises, airports and beyond.
* Building Services: WSP offer advice in building services such as mechanical (heating, ventilating, bio-hazard mitigation), electrical (lighting and renewable energy technologies) and hydraulics (high purity water systems and sea systems). * Project Manager: As a Project Manager you will be required to think about each project individually - considering the costing, planning, design and construction at each stage. You will play a key part in delivering future projects.
* Embedded Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Working in collaboration with both private and public sector clients, you will be involved with providing consultancy services including highway, urban realm, interior, tunnel and creative lighting.
* Chartered Town Planner: You will work on local and national projects assisting with the planning process to ensure that your team has the full picture, opportunities and economic drivers of a city.
Essential Criteria:
