Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
An amazing opportunity to complete an Animal Care Level 2 Apprenticeship.
You will learn to be a kennel assistant, with all that entails such as:
* Walking dogs
* Cleaning accommodation
* Dog nutrition (and cats)
* Site maintenance, making sure it is hazard free
* Working as part of a team that takes animal care very seriously
* It is a fun job, playing with dogs, stroking and cuddling cats (when they let you!) and being responsible for the care and wellbeing of a the animals left in our charge
* There is a lot of walking, so you will be very fit and you will be outdoors in all kinds of weather

* The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard
* The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship

* Mainly outdoor, working with animals, lots of exercise, and a great deal of fun playing with the dogs and cuddling cats
