Job Description
We are seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join ahighly collaborative team to manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, HNWIs with a focus on private equity executives, entrepreneurs and trusts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent client service by maintaining client relationships and liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters
* Day to day responsibility for meeting both client and compliance deadlines, monitoring time limits and elections
* Assisting Partners and Directors in, and where appropriate, lead tax planning projects such as succession planning using trusts and corporate structures, capital gains and inheritance tax issues
* Manage HMRC enquiries and disclosuresand dealing with HMRC correspondence of both compliance and advisorynature
* Responsible for billing and monitoring budgets
* Review compliance and basic advisory work prepared by more junior members of staff
* Assist with managing junior member of staff including helping them with technical and personal development
* Present at technical training sessions
* Engage in personal business development activities and support business development activities of the team
* Maintain technical knowledge
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
* Significant relevant experience gained within a professional services firm.
* Sound knowledge of private client tax issuesand dealingwith complex capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering tax planning/advisory projects.
* Demonstrable experience of managing complex compliance issues.
* People management and organisational experience
Professional Qualifications and Education
* Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser
