Are you an experienced workshop leader with a passion for efficiency, safety, and team development? We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Hand to oversee workshop operations at a key Heathrow Airport facility. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will ensure the safe, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance of vehicles and equipment while delivering top-tier customer service.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Managing and allocating workshop resources to optimise productivity and minimise downtime.
* Leading, coaching, and motivating a high-performing team, fostering a positive "can-do" culture.
* Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including risk assessments.
* Overseeing maintenance schedules and job card accuracy to maintain efficiency.
* Managing budgets, workshop costs, and ensuring operations run within financial targets.
What We're Looking For:
* 2+ years of management experience in a similar environment, including HGVs.
* Experience within the airport or transport industry is highly desirable.
* Strong people management and communication skills.
* Proficiency in workshop management systems and IT tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (essential).
* IOSH Health & Safety certification (preferred).
* A full UK manual driving licence is required.
