Penllwyn Primary School is a thriving and busy school set in the heart of the Penllwyn Community within Pontllanfraith, near Blackwood. The school currently has 135 pupils between the ages of three and eleven years of age, including nursery pupils on a part time basis. The school has a physical development area, wildlife garden, a willow shelter a sensory garden, several picnic tables, an outdoor unit and five class gardens. The school is an accredited ‘Healthy School’ and has recently achieved its Phase 6 award. The school is a dedicated ECO school and has platinum school status.
