Our reputable client is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their friendly team.
The successful candidate will be based at my client's office in Reigate, with some local travel in Surrey and opportunities for remote working after a successful probationary period.

2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Role Profile
We are looking for a capable Technical Engineer (2nd line level) with a proven history supporting and maintaining on-premise and cloud environments, particularly with experience working for an MSP or within Education, implementing and administering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 suite, and Hyper-V.
2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Day-to-day Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support for a wide variety of current and new technologies for a range of SMB and Enterprise clients.
2. Provide technical guidance and resolve issues within SLA guidelines.
3. Assist with managing company internal IT systems.
4. Work closely with Sales Account Managers and clients to develop proposals that are technically ratified.
5. Assist with IT project implementations, from planning and design to completion.
6. Accurately record all support calls in our ticket management system.
7. Proactively monitor support queues and respond in a timely manner to maintain all internal performance targets.
8. Carry out scheduled maintenance and updates on client environments.
9. Always follow a best practice approach to cyber and network security.
10. Liaise with third party vendors to resolve customer issues where necessary.
11. Prepare hardware prior to delivery, including deploying OS image, Microsoft 365, and security applications.
2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Experience Required (not all essential):
1. Microsoft technologies: 365, Azure, Windows, AD, Server OS.
2. Cyber security: firewalls, web filters, advanced protection and recovery.
3. Networking: Configuring, maintaining & troubleshooting.
4. Cloud technologies: 365, Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive.
5. Configuring & maintaining devices with Microsoft Endpoint Management.
6. Virtualisation: VMware / Hyper-V.
7. Backup solutions: On-prem & cloud.
8. OS Support: Windows & Apple.
9. Willingness to travel to customer sites within Surrey.
10. Flexibility with work hours; the successful candidate will take part in an extended support rota.
11. A passion for a wide range of enterprise-grade infrastructure technology is essential (networking, server and endpoint, cloud, security).
12. Experience of working with and supporting a range of information technologies.
13. A minimum of three years' experience in a similar IT role.
From time to time, you will be required to visit customer sites locally, so it is essential for the successful candidate to own a vehicle.
