Interim Senior Finance Business Partner
3-month interim role
Hybrid/ remote work available: 1 day a week required on site Main Purpose of Role:
To work in partnership with the Finance Director & leadership team to positively deliver strategic business outcomes through meaningful and actionable insights from historical and future financial performance.
To ensure accuracy of the month-end close and ensure any corresponding follow-ups are actioned in a timely manner.
This individual will form an integral part of the operational leadership team and participate in strategic development and planning.
As part of driving performance, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for identifying opportunities and risks as well as recommending action plans and serving as a catalyst to challenge the business and drive forward critical initiatives to deliver the strategy.
This role reports in to the Finance Director.
It is a home-based role but requires 1 day a week in the main office (Bristol).
Responsibilities:
Working in partnership with the Operations team with a focus on P&L performance, cost management and delivery of financial and non-financial KPIs
Identify opportunities for practice growth and implement actions to deliver, working closely with the Area Ops Directors to deliver projects and initiatives that enhance or improve practice performance
Calibrate clinics and drive the underperforming brands / emerging risks by identifying areas for improvement and supporting the Operations team with resources, planning, implementation and tracking
Work with the Commercial Finance team to ensure that the suite of reports coming out of Finance to the business is user-friendly and provides the required level of detail on the key topics
Delivery of insights and training to ensure the best use of metrics to understand and drive performance
Build a strong relationship with the FP&A team to drive the budget and re-forecasting process
Liaise with the management accounting team to deliver month-end reporting, understand and build commentary on key variances
Complete investment appraisals to ensure appropriate allocation of the ROI capex budget
Deliver weekly and monthly trading packs on a timely basis
Deliver Month end close and drive follow-ups to conclusion
Support 2-way internal communications throughout the business, specifically between Ops and Finance
Project work as allocated by the UK&I/CEO / Directors, including Central Finance transformation projects Person Specification/Competencies:
Educated to degree level and having completed their professional accounting qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA / ACA or similar)
Previous Finance Business Partnering experience is essential
Team player able to collaborate with stakeholders but also challenge appropriately
Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills with the ability to discuss financial performance with non-financial people, whilst building rapport and relationships
Comfortable generating your own tasks based on business needs and working without a set structure
Ability to adapt, reprioritise and thrive in a constantly changing environment
Delivery-focused and capable of operating to tight deadlines
Confidence in presentation skills, especially to large groups of people
Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
Confident working with various management reporting systems

Experience working with outsourced Finance
