Our Lighting Design team are looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior Lighting Designer to join our team in Manchester.
Our diverse projects cover all sectors of the construction industry and will provide the opportunity to enhance your lighting design and management skills.Working across the full spectrum of RIBA deliverable stages for new and refurbished facilities.
Within the team you will lead projects, with responsibility for delivery of schemes to meet the clients requirements and deadlines, you will co-ordinate and allocate project resource.
Key Responsibilities:
Support resource allocations and project delivery to meet client requirements
Work as part of a design team delivering concept books, innovative solutions, detailed designs, drawings and specifications.
Undertake design calculations to support the concept proposals and test innovative solutions.
Undertake site survey and capture data relevant to the appointment i.e. daylighting and dark skies.
Reviewing construction design details and make comment
Liaise closely with all other professionals, internally and externally.
Attend a range of project group and design meetings
Advise clients and architects on improving spaces for people and the environment.
Qualifications required:
Relevant qualification and experience to lighting design. It is recognised that people take many different routes into the lighting design industry.
Working towards or have MSLL, MILP or MIALD registration - registration fee paid for by Ridge
Skills / experience required to do the job:
Experience of design solutions from conception through to completion including calculations, drawings, specifications, etc aligned to RIBA stages.
Describe the software you are familiar with and your experience. Training can be provided on software you have not used or new software we chose to adopt in the future.
