Role Summary:
The Operational Assurance Analyst role will focus on the collection and management of metered and measured data through the newly procured Head-End and Certification System (HECS) to give assurance and verification to LCCC beneficiary data. The data collected will be used in settlement and certification across LCCC schemes, including Hydrogen, Carbon-Capture Utilisation and Storage, CfD and Capacity Market to help accelerate the delivery of Net Zero.
Working towards delivery of the Minimum Viable Product in September 2025, you will work with our third-party suppliers and internal LCCC teams to help configure and shape the system to ensure it meets LCCC’s current and future needs. You will become a system expert for the Head End and Certifications System managing daily data validation, exceptions handling and aggregation of counterparty data before being passed on to settlements and other applications.
Liaising with the system provider and across different areas of the business you will deliver clear processes and templates for current and future configuration of the system. You will support the creation of documentation and guidance for internal and external stakeholders working with the system.
Key Responsibilities
In essence, you will become an expert and operator of a new multi-million pound data collection system. Specific roles and responsibilities are listed below:
* Review of the different business model contracts and understand the different metering and technical inputs that are required.
* Alongside the Operational Assurance Manager speak to meter, instrument, system manufacturers and other stakeholders to understand the configuration of equipment and integration into and out of the Head-End System.
* Work with our third-party supplier through discovery, development and implementation, to ensure system functionality for current and future requirements.
* Liaise with internal SMEs to understand scheme requirements and contractual obligations for data processing within their area.
* Ensure the timely and accurate retrieval and passthrough of data from LCCC’s counterparties and between LCCC systems and understand system dependencies and integration requirements.
* Implement quality control measures and data validation to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
* Support the onboarding and commissioning of beneficiaries via Smart Contracts in the HECS.
* Setting and monitoring parameters around data to configure alerts and result in the timely resolution of exceptions or escalations.
* Responsible for efficient and proactive running of the system to ensure data integrity is maintained.
* Managing alerts and exceptions reporting to identify patterns and trends in the data.
* Timely escalations of issues found.
* Create and maintain guidance documents for internal users, generators, producers, emitters and third-party users, and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement in data collection methods, reporting and system maintenance.
* Collaborate with the project team and teams throughout the organisation to understand data needs and provide them with necessary information and support.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
* At least 12 months of demonstrable experience in an operational environment
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, able to understand and articulate complex issues to all levels of seniority and to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Adept and versatile with the ability to understand and process complex information.
* Be a team player, with strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively towards a shared vision for the future.
Desirable:
* Experience working with data collection, analysis or management
* Experience within the Energy Sector
