Learning Support Assistant – Alternative Provision
Based in Blyth
Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term-time only
Pay: £93 – £104 per day (depending on experience)

About the role:
This is a full-time, term-time role supporting students (predominately in KS4) who may have experienced barriers to learning such as SEMH needs or behavioural challenges that prevent them from reaching their full potential. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support that helps build confidence, improve engagement, and raise achievement.
Key responsibilities:
Support students 1:1 and in small groups with academic and emotional development
Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
Adapt learning materials to suit different abilities and needs
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
Be a reliable, nurturing presence for students needing structure and encouragementWhat we’re looking for:
Experience working with young people with SEMH/SEND/behavioural needs (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, patient and resilient under pressure
